Re: 1989 ezgo rough running
The curved piece(padded) that pushes on the S/G has a short post with a rounded end. The bolt that goes through the bracket mounted on the motor has a socket on the end that mates to the ball. You crank the screw out to achieve proper tension, then tighten the jam nut.

Pressure wash the swing arm and engine bay and give it a spray bomb of Rustoleum 7777 Black. You'll thank me later.

Re: 1989 ezgo rough running
Got the engine out. Lil heavy but I got it. Got it everything degreased and power washed. Tomorrow will work on s/g bold removal and maybe undercoat or just paint all metal i side I will end up doing some grinding and re welding on the cradle. No wonder welds are know to break most welds on front motor mount brackets are junk ! The scabbed on a flat stock of steel across the front horizontal support as well. Smh. I never should of looked under there. I will have 4hrs i to grinding welding and painting now.

Re: 1989 ezgo rough running
Got my new motor mounts today :) bad part is they look a little different than OEM. Can anyone tell me what way the raised (nipple side) part sits? Will only let me load one pic from my phone
