check your batteries, before going thru all that. I have a feeling that you have a weak battery causing your problem.

do not forget to upgrade all wires even the ones going to the motor. I used 0ga on all my wires on my 99 model. Built a rack on a rack on the back, I use it for hunting and can throw 15 bags of corn (50 lbs ea) and no problems on mine, even using factory controller.

I did change the batteries goes up hills now but still i gps it at around 14 mph im ordering the 48v parts today or tomorrow from cartszone.com,anyone here who is runnin a 48v conversion with stock motor what you gps yours at im guessin im gonna get around 18-20mph outta this upgrade but not really sure

My '97 Series/Fleet 48v conversion runs 22mph on the 36v Advanced DC Motor running stock diameter tires, Alltrax AXE4844 controller.

No, that unit is a trickle charger intended to MAINTAIN a charge when a vehicle is laid up for extended periods,

Amperage rating looks low to me. The Battery Tender line is aimed at the classic car market.
