you can not delete a thread (you can only close one in the sales section only) and you only have about 4 hours to edit a post before that stops . you can contact any of the mods/admins to close a thread or alter if needed.

This may seems like a PITA but the set up to protect the site. for example a long time member with a 1000 helpful posts can not delete them all fore he got a hair across his butt
