I’d find a rear end first. Since that housing looks to be pretty much junk, I would personally take an air hammer and chisel tip (or just a chisel and hammer) and bust up the aluminum housing on the rear end. The motor itself will probably be salvageable but you may have to bust up the rear end around it to get it off

I think you are right. Will find a rear first and them see what I need to do to salvage the motor if I can. Going to call a local golf cart shop tomorrow he may be able to help me.

Side note: there's a proper method to putting anti-seize on the spline, don't just splash it on.

Thanks Movin-on I have read about that here. I thought about that. I just need to try and get the bolts out of the motor. May have to cut or chisel the housing away from them like CP241 suggested.

You were right CP241. I pulled the rear out and started taping the housing with a small hammer and it just started falling apart.Took a chisel and worked around the bolts. Once the three bolts were exposed the motor just slid off.

Taking the motor to a shop tomorrow to see if it can be rebuilt.

Still looking for a rear!

I bought a flood cart from a hurricane in SC that basically did the same thing. Glad the motor came out easily. Mine didn’t LOL

i'd wait until you find a rearend before sending the motor out
you might find the whole rearend, motor and all for less than the rebuild cost
