Re: Charging 48 volts with a 36 volt charger
Keith,
I DEFINATELY look different....Lol Now no harm was intended by my post, it's just that the forums are really loaded with good info about this type of subject matter. If you stick around here you will begin to see the posts that come from new members each and everyday where they fail to look around and read and instead, just jump in and ask a question that's been talked about infinium.....so....with that said, Regarding chargers, you can buy a 36/48 volt unit at a cheap price BUT, beware of the quality of what your getting. You may want to spend 250 for a variable rate or, selectable charger but look carefully at what your getting in Amps and voltage. A cheaper unit may take several hours longer to charge your system and then still, not give it a full charge. A good charger will cost more but do the job right and not wear your expensive batteries out prematurely (sp). So put on your big boy pants and jump in ....it's a blast in here |

Re: Charging 48 volts with a 36 volt charger
It is possible to charge 36v worth of batteries with your 36v charger and the other 12v with a automotive charger. It is not convenient but possible.
Or-- do like I did and purchase a Delta Quiq 48 charger. The most advanced charger on the market today. Jim |
