Groovydude? I'm certain we can help you fix your golf cart....... But I got 3 nagging questions about this How did you stuck between 2 fence posts? Was alcohol involved or judging from your username and avatar...... Was it Something Else?

Re: Cart won't go after getting stuck
Wish it were something else...basically the stinking Christmas alcohol impaired my judgement on width...I have a VERY understanding wife....
Anyway, here is where I sit currently...Pulled off the passenger rear hub, and it looked fine...dusty..that's all. When I pushed the throttle, it spun fine, but the driver side stuck...didn't spin. So I pulled that hub off, and the brakes were DIRTY, but the hub was fine.....and I think the brakes were locked up...anyway, with both hubs off, I press on the throttle, and both sides spin... Here's my question...I am pretty dumb in this area...but does this sound like a bad brake after all? Just in case, I'm cleaning everything out...and adjusting the brakes with that secret star wheel (very hard to find at first...but then I found it). I am assuming the rear differential is built in such a way that only one of the wheels needs traction to spin? Any other test I can do before I put everything back on? Thanks everyone!!! |

Re: Cart won't go after getting stuck
THe hub may still be spun? Cuz when it is on the ground it does not move? Right? But on jacks it spins? If so could still be spun....

Re: Cart won't go after getting stuck
Hey, she sounds like a keeper, that girl
Note proper torque for that axle nut is 70psi min and 140 max .... It must be tight or it will strip. |
