Default BAttery Charger Question

So I got my first charge on my new (refurbished) batteries and the charger turned off when the charge was complete. it took about 10 hours. So i left the charger plugged in and about 6 hours later the charger turned back on and started charging again. I have never seen a charger turn back on like this on a golf cart.

Does this mean my batteries are bad, the charger is bad or that all is good?

What happens then if I leave the charger plugged in for a month or so when the cart is not in use and the charger keeps coming on and fully charging them?

I would think this is a good thing to prolong the life of the batteries but I am affraid I may hear otherwise from the "experts."

Any info is much appreciated.

Some chargers do have a maintenance feature as it sounds like yours does.

I believe only the PowerWise II and newer models have the maintenance feature. So unless someones been inside messing around then that model shouldn't start a cycle until the DC connection is broken and reconnected.

If your DC plug and receptacle are in poor condition, this connection can be broken by slight movement of the plug at the charge receptacle.

That could be the issue. Plug and receptacle seem to be in good shape. I will keep an eye on it and see what happens. Thanks
