What year and model is my EZGO?

I have been searching online for an hour now and still can't detemine what year and model my EZGO is. It looks like the marathon, but the manufacturing code makes me think it is a 94, which would make it a medalist.

The serial number is 793538, and the manufacturing code is D1494.

Also, aren't there two kinds of motors in these carts? I've read about DCS and PDS...how can I tell what I have?

Any help would be appreciated. I don't know a lot about this kind of stuff but I would like to convert this 36volt to a 48volt. Need to know the basics before I jump into that.

Welcome to BGW!
The Manufacture code does indeed indicate your cart is 1994 Medalist ( TXT ) they only came in Series drive. Hope that helps

Thank you for the help. I was leaning that direction, but wanted to be sure. Now I just need to figure out what all i need to convert this to a 48 volt. I am tired of being passed on the cart paths!

1994 was a changeover year for EZ-Go. If it looks like a Marathon, it's a Marathon. Marathons have 2 seat backs and a key on the engine bay panel by the F/R switch. Medalist has a rounded rear body and a key on the dash like a TXT.

Ok. This must be a Marathon then...the key is next to the F/R switch.

When getting quotes for parts someone asked me if it had a speed controller or resistor coils....any manual available so I know where to look for these things?

You can also go to shopezgo.com and enter you serial number for you make and model. you can also look up parts using your serial number so there will be no confusion on parts. I am just throwing that out there.

Can you post a pic of the battery bay? That would be easier for us to discern what you have.
