'06 or '09 CC Precedent......
Need advice - I have the opportunity to purchase one of two CC Precedents and I am not sure which one to buy. I have read up on everything in here about the issues with the 12 Volt Battery setup and how the 8 Volt setup holds a longer charge, etc. My question is this - which one would you guys buy?
'06 CC Precedent w/2010 US Batteries (12 Volt bat system) for $3200 OR '09 CC Precedent w/2009 Batteries (8 Volt bat system) for $3750 Both will be lifted w/rhox 6" lift kit (is this kit good??), AT tires w/10" rims, folding back seat, light kit. Is it worth spending more money for a 3-year newer motor, or did the '09 standard CC have any upgrades from '06, etc? Both are in great condition externally. Just needed some advice from a bunch of people that know WAY more about this stuff than I do! Thank you VERY much for your help. Last edited by Jbenham; 01-04-2012 at 07:14 AM.. In looking at prices for battery Club Car's they are low. The carts you are looking at may be worth the price, but I would look around. Check out prices on Flee Bay and Craiglist to give you and idea. Know I purchased an 07 with 09 battaries a year and half ago at $3500 and now they are selling for half that. Have you looked at gas? Nice 07 gas CC or going for $2700.

Re: '06 or '09 CC Precedent......
go with the 8 volt setup for the extra 500 cause if you decide to convert from 12 volt to 8 volt.............heck i think the battery tray you need to hold the 8 volt batteries is somewhere around 400 dollars..............so your getting a 3 year newer cart with a better battery system and 8 volt batteries can last twice as long as 12 volt batteries..................i think in my opinion if you have the cash and can buy it go with the 2009...........also i beleive in 2004 thur 2006 there might have been some issues that were worked out in 2007 ...........i might be wrong on that but i seem to remember reading a lot of posts about issues in those year carts...........anyways good luck whatever you decide..........................................

If the price he is quoting includes the upgrades the OP mentioned then that seems like a fair price to me. I paid $2000 for my cart stock with 4 month old batteries. After the same upgrades and a couple more, I have about $3,500-$3,700 in the cart. I don't know about the lift he mentioned. I went with an Allsports A-Arm lift and Allsports flip rear seat. I would go with the 09 model too. |

Thank you for the feedback. I'm not real wild about the Rhox set-up in comparison to Jakes, but I haven't researched the forum yet to see what kind of reviews the Rhox Kit has.
Sounds like the prices where I am in NC are a little higher than where you guys are. This is the cheapest deal around and I've been looking for a LONG time. |

Got it. Thank you.
I guess the only issue now is that I researched the Rhox Lift Kit on this Forum and it doesn't get great reviews. Seems everyone says to stick with the All Sports or Jakes. I can get an '08.5 with 4 12 Volts for about $3800. Original Bats. But it has All Sports Lift Kit as opposed to Rhox. You like that deal better? |

All Sports seems to be the lift kit of choice of most people . . .

this is just my opinion but mr i would go with the 8 volt battery setup ..........as for the lift how areyou gonna use the cart?? that lift may not stand up to abuse that the other lifts do but if more of just a show, comfy thing it may be just fine.................................... |

Re: '06 or '09 CC Precedent......
I want to take my family around the neighborhood and in the trails behind my house - not big trails, but pretty flat. I'll also be hauling it to the beach.
