For clarification, did the cart run before new batteries were installed?

Yes. I was using it daily around our barn to feed the animals. Went to use it one day...........dead. Check batteries they dead charged for a day, nothing. So i assumed it was the batteries, they were about 5-6 years old

Usually when this happened to me there was always a wire I had missed hooking back up. Once or twice I could see the missed wire hanging under the cart... other times it was buried in a nest of wires.... harder to fine.

Later on I made a habit of drawing a 1 minute diagram of the pack. noting where each color wire landed before removing the old pack. That saved my but more than once.

Have another look

Seems everyone has a phone capable of taking fine pictures these days. Why not just snap a picture before taking it apart. I always do that when i am dealing with a cart with a million extra wires on the batteries. Also, for those around here that fancy working on carts often, getting a spiral notebook and starting a collection of battery diagrams for different makes & models is really, really handy ..
