89 EZ-Go Wont start after multiple mechanical fixes
Bought the 89 cart ( Betty White) and ran great for about 6 months or so. Then had issues with it making a whole round or even to six holes. Sometimes would start if you pushed it but then nothing. It starts but wont turn over. My initial thought was the belt because it just sat there with no belt movement, however I took it to multiple small engine repair places and they said it worked fine for them and they could not find an issue.
After doing some reading I decided to fix one thing at a time and see if that helped. I changed the Starter, Fuel Pump, Spark Plug, Fuel Filter, a buddy of mine looked at it and said it had a bad ignition coil so he changed that. Betty (the carts name) ran great for a couple days then it wouldn't start or turn over at all. I changed out the drive belt yesterday, which was very loose and it looked like it wanted to turn over more than it did before but wasn't catching the belt all the way? Could it be the clutch that needs changed? I am lost after changing so many other things and still not working. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!! |
