Glad you found the problem and the fix was easy.

Minor detail: The switch that didn't pop out of place is the "Run" switch. It is closed in both F and R. It tells "arms" the solenoid and sends voltage to the pedal microswitch. The switch that popped out is the Reverse switch and is only closed in R. It tells the controller to switch the direction of current flow through the field windings (which makes the motor turn in the other direction) and sounds the beeper.

That makes perfect sense because I was hearing a MS click each way before I found the problem.
