Default F'd up my shuttle

Ok, I was putting batteries in my shuttle and connected the on board charger incorrectly. Now of course nothing. Yes, sparks flew.

I have followed the troubleshooting guide up to where it says to replace the reed switch.

It's an 05 txt shuttle with the hd controller and switch.

Switch in box is ok, 2 switches on FnR ok, so no solenoid click or power to it.

Ok, fixed. It is the relay that basically replaced the reed switch built into the onboard charger. I jumped it and we have liftoff.

I guess my problems are a bit deeper than I first suspected. Appears I have blown the 50 amp fuse in the charger and was told by one ezgo tech that I likely need to replace the diodes as well. Had another one tell me the circuit board. It's a powerwise charger. Is it usually the relay on the control board that goes?

No. most likely board and diodes.
If relay was damaged, the board was probably damaged.
Unless you are the electronic hobbyist type, just replace board.
replace fuse also ,It did its job and prevented massive damage.

Diodes -- can check diodes easily enough with most digital Voltmeters.
Must check each individually. Diodes are cheap enough to just replace with board.

Board with relay powers up charger when it is plugged into cart , Turns charger off when batts charged.
And times out charger if there is a battery failure.

If you need more info, let us know.

Ok, that makes perfect sense. I'm just trying to learn as much as I can from this very expensive lesson! I have the older style diodes on hand that are 2 mounted to a plate, will order the control board tomorrow.

Thanks
