Default DS body removal

Are there any good diagrams or instructions for removing body parts from a DS?

I haven't seen any. That doesn't mean there isn't one though. Aside from the windshield bolts, its basically the front bumper, and a handful of small nuts on the cowl trim. Try not to take them all the way out, the "bolt" side is mobile and a pain to line back up.

The rear is about the same. Start with the roof frame, and there are two screws and bolts in the bagwell, and a couple along the floor under the F&R switch. The only other two I can think of are just behind the seat.... Maybe I missed something, but it's Saturday. And, you know... beer.

Easy enough. Once you do it, it'll only take 15-20 minutes the next time. I would take the top and brackets off as one piece.

Well I have the micro beer problem to! It should take about an hour with top to tear down. Take your time and you will see it's not that bad

I did find these for what they're worth. I appreciate the info and maybe when I take mine apart, I'll get some good pics and post them for the other rookies like myself.

Excellent diagrams!

When you get really good at it, you'll be able to have one (with a top) stripped down in around 30 minutes.

I realize this is an old thread, but I sure could use those photos which are no longer visible (thanks photo bucket).

How different is the DS cowl from the Precedent? There are several videos on Precedent cowl removal.

Strange, I don't get any warnings. I downloaded that several years ago with no issues.

No harm intended.
