Get a cheap I.R. Temp gun. The "hs gear" carts typically overheat the controller. Run it around for a while & occasionally stop & check the heatsink on back of controller. If i recall, the power reduction starts at 80c, with shutdown occuring at 100c. I think the allowable motor temps are quite a bit higher, but the same idea applies (reduced output as max temp is approached).

The dealer called me and told me the batteries were bad. They were Powertron golf cart batteries. He upgraded them to Trojans and that should fix the problem.
