12 volt batteries
I'm looking at buying a set of batteries for my rxv. 4-12 volts. Guy in town has the black box for cheap. Anyone have info on them?

Re: 12 volt batteries
Black box batteries generally mean economy or generic batteries. No one will be able to tell you anything about them here because there are so many variations. You need to ask the seller who they are made by, the manufacturing date, and the storage capacity. I also would not believe them about any of those 3 unless the information is on the batteries themselves. If you want a set of batteries that will last you want to buy the highest amp hour capacity that you can afford. Also I myself would stick with the more known brands.

Re: 12 volt batteries
Black Box What? Golf Cart Battery, Marine Deep Cycle, Automotive battery? There is a lot of difference in batteries even between marine deep cycle and industrial (golf cart) deep cycle....

Re: 12 volt batteries
Yeah, info- "stay away". 12v golf batteries are bad enough, without messing around with "mystery box batteries". I would go with Crown, US, or Trojan. And buy the highest AH capacity they offer.
