Default Battery questions

So I just picked up a stock 4 person 36v 2001 Ezgo TXT PDS electric over the weekend. It has a stock 300amp controller with the all terrain plug installed. I have (3) 12 vt batteries in it now that I plan on replacing. After doing a little research on cart batteries I have a few questions about what numbers I should be looking at.
I plan on driving it with 4 adults on paved roads with not many hills.

Amp hours: looking for the highest but which rate am I concerned with? 1hr 5hr 7hr 20hr?
Minutes @ X amps: Im not sure what this relates to, the 300amp controller?
RC minutes: same thing here.
BCI group: Do I stick with GC2?
Voltage 6 or 8 vt. (6) 6vt batteries will go further on a charge right?
Price: Who has the lowest? when is the best time to buy?

You need to use 6, 6 volt batteries. 8 volts will not work on a 36 volt system. I'm not to sharp on the amp hours, but I would imagine the higher the minutes@ whatever the higher amps would be the better battery.

For an apples to apples comparison between all makes, go with the 20hr rate (all golf cart batteries should have that rating). As noted above, 8v batteries dont work for 36v carts.

TODAY the idea on not storing batteries on concrete is a complete wive's tale.... In truth the storing on cool concrete may in fact slow down the rate of self discharge....

Good to know

Does anyone have experience with these? Is this what I should be looking for?

US Batteries makes a good battery for its price-point but I've got to ask can't you find them locally from a battery supply store? You are going to be paying a lot for shipping even though they claim free shipping as the shipping is built into the price...

If you have a way to charge them a few times over the winter it would be ok. They will lose charge over time and could damage them if they get low for any amount of time.

No, that is not a good idea.

Lead-acid batteries self-discharge at about 1% per day and the aging process goes into overdrive when the SoC (State of Charger( drops below 70%m so they have to be charge at least every month.

If you have them attached to a charger that float charges, they can stored indefinitely.

$1,007.52 for six 6V 242AH batteries isn't all that good of a price even if it does include shipping.

You can save the cost of shipping be buying from a local vendor and if you aren't planning on installing the new batteries until next spring, you have plenty of time to shop around for the best bang for the buck.

You ought to be able to find six standard 6V cart batteries from about $600 to $800

------------
The standard 36V battery pack is six 225AH 6V batteries.
