Thank you for helping me through this mess. read up on the DC motor and have a much better understanding and the internet diagrams were driving me crazy since they did not pertain to a shunt motor and said they did.

Sorry I'm so late to the party,
Recently purchased a A85 36V DS Club Car with the exact same scenario as "Atlantic Boat Care" with 1012190 motor. Cart ran fine for 3 months then battery drained 37v to 9v in about an hour. Resistors were very hot as were the batteries. I have cleaned all the post, and rewired for the most part, but cannot find a wiring diagram that does not start the wheels turning by themselves once I connect main ground , or unintentionally welding because of a incorrect schematic. If you still have that wiring diagram for the shunt motor, I could sure use it. Tried BING but did see anything I haven't tried already Thanks |
