Re: Club Car - 48v - Slow up hills - new batteries
I have a older cart which installed the same motor was a 36 volt cart which i turned into 48 volt i also have a 1982 cart which is still 36 volt has the old style rear axle funny thing is the older cart has more speed but less torque then the newer cart.which is 1984 the special service motor will spin the rear tires on take off the older csrt wont.My take on that motor is its no speed demon but good all around usage also i hate that style jump cables they will corrode on the inside of lugs seen it more then once

The only thing that is going to get you up them hills faster is Horsepower.

Re: Club Car - 48v - Slow up hills - new batteries
Here are my results... the drop off in speed insnt a bad as I thought. So maybe some of this in my fathers head or maybe he is just too slow on level ground...
Is 13mph on level ground and 10mph up hill good for this cart? If we wanted to spend some money to upgrade it, can it be upgraded in a reasonable way? As noted previously this is the 1996 model Speed Volts At Rest 0 57.2 - just off charger in garage in NJ - garage temp is 43 Level 13mph 51.0v Up hill 10mph 48.3v Down hill 15mph 48.9v At rest 0 50.3v <- after ~7 minutes of run time in NJ @ ~40 degrees |
