Default no lights II

I finally had a chance to troubleshoot my lighting system this weekend with a test meter. Basically, it goes like this. There's a relay in the cart that is connected to the light switch, the front and back lights, and the hot. It looks like this:

When I flip the switch that little box make an audible "click" which previously led me to believe that both the switch and the relay were working.

However, after doing a series of things I ended up taking that relay off and jumping the hot connection to the lights and viola... lights came on.

So the obvious answer is that I should replace the relay, or maybe the switch. Does anyone have experience with something like this. Does the fact that the relay "clicks" when I flip the switch indicate that one or the other might still be good?

Thanks!

The fact that it worked when you effectively bypassed the relay shows the relay wasn't working, the relay contacts are probably corroded/burnt and not sending the power down the line, I would replace the relay.

Yeah that makes total sense. I forgot to ask this in my first post... does anyone know where to find that relay?

Take it to the parts store and have them match it, should be a standard relay I would think .
