Default G9 only creeping

Hello all, I have an odd issue with a Yamaha G2/G9 here. The cart is only creeping when the solenoid is activated as if the contact board and resistors aren't working. The resistor coils are heating up like power is flowing but the cart will only creeping 6mph and will not climb hills etc. I have cleaned the contact board and replaced the moving contact due to wear and still nothing. I used my multimeter to test and make sure power was flowing from the moving contact through the stationary contacts and to the coils and I'm getting connectivity. I'm not really sure where else to go from here. Any help is appreciated!

How new are the batteries and what’s the voltage? A resistor cart would be a G2.

To be a little more specific the batteries are from may of this year. They all hold on the load test good. The cart was parked and charged at night and the next day it was running very slow.

Not totally sure, the "red hot coils" thing happens when sitting still, or only after driving it at snail speed for a while? Luke, I also used to think G2s were all resistor carts, and all G9 were solid state, but some G9 were also resistor cars.

The coils aren't really getting red hot. You can feel the heat from them after driving it around like normal. Its driving as if the whole contact board isn't working. There is no progressive acceleration as you pass from contact to contact. All wires are in good condition too. That's why I'm confused here. I've dealt with these carts running slow but it's always been the moving contact isnt making a connection to the contact board. Not this time though. Everything looks correct. The cart is running creep speed off solenoid activation only.

Could it be the coils?? Why would the coils be bad if they are heating up like normal operation.

The coils should not heat up with the pedal to the floor driving, because the resistors are out of the circuit. If they do that definitely indicates a contact board problem of some sort. If not, it may be a motor issue.

So when the cart is floored the coils are bypassed. They are still heating up when floored. Next on my list now, I'll check the motor for a short.

You have a coil/control board problem if they are still heating up when the pedal is floored.

What do you think could be wrong with the contact board to cause this? Everything is in good shape on the board. The arm is swiping across every contact to the last one and all the wires are in tact. Idk what else could be wrong with it.
