Name this dohickiemabob!
It’s on a 2002 G22E. Mounted on a metal plate behind the batteries.
At first I thought it was a reducer, but after looking closer at the wires going to it I’m not so sure. It has two black large (12awg) wires. One goes in each side. One wire went to the main pack negative, the other splits to two spade connectors and has ground wires coming from the wiring for the lights on the cart. The power for the lights was connected to battery + on number 5. I can’t find any markings on it, but I didn’t unmount it and look on the on the other side that’s against the plate. So what the hell is it? Appears it just connects some accessories to ground? Seems like something that could be removed and replaced with a proper 48-12 volt reducer. |

Re: Name this dohickiemabob!
I think it is just a grounding plate isolated from the frame. If so, no need for it really. Just my opinion.

It's a voltage reducing flippity-floppity-flue. Replace with a proper 48-12v reducer.

Did you end up figuring out what the "thing" is? Curious to hear. Sorry we hijacked your thread.....but it brought a couple chuckles for me at least.
