Universal Deluxe Light Upgrade Kits
Has anyone installed one of these universal turn signal kits on their Precedent? Has anyone located a wiring diagram for them? I decided to try this kit first, but am having a heck of a time verifying wiring. Have had no luck over the last few days on google. I installed a RHOX LED kit a few weeks ago, but don't want to plug this in without verifying the pin-outs first. The 9 pin connector matches, but the wire colors do not.
Generic: (One I bought) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 GTW Version: https://www.buggiesunlimited.com/gol...sal-fit)/32034 Madjax sells a similar one, but the flasher module is different. Yes, I know the RHOX one is plug and play, and I may eventually buy that one, but wanted to give this a shot first. Thanks for any help! |

Re: Universal Deluxe Light Upgrade Kits
For that price you can get a better kit with a brake action actuator and it will fit the RHOX kit standard.

Re: Universal Deluxe Light Upgrade Kits
Thanks, already have the brake actuator setup. Wasn't so much concerned with price, as I preferred the look of this one. I did not expect it to be plug and play, and am OK with tinkering to make it work. Figured I'd ask here before I go to plan B.

Re: Universal Deluxe Light Upgrade Kits
OK...Update for anyone following in my footsteps. I finally had some time to sit down and buzz out the RHOX harness on the cart and the Universal Kit I bought. It was closer to a plug/play kit than I initially thought (although wires are different colors). The trick to get the headlight to work was to disconnect the RHOX headlight switch (but leave the headlight switch harness), pull out the pin/wire on the side that goes to the + side of the battery, then leave and heat shrink the female spade connector on the other side.
The only thing left to figure out is the high/low beam configuration. I'm assuming that's what the 2 position switch is for, but I'll admit I haven't put any time into that yet. Here is my setup: 2016 Club Car Precedent 2008.5+ RHOX LED light kit - LGT-306L/LB RHOX Bucket Harness - LGT-396 RHOX LInkage Activated Brake Switch w/ Delay - LGT-B4 (LGT-644) Universal Deluxe Upgrade Kit (from Amazon) |

Re: Universal Deluxe Light Upgrade Kits
If it helps the Red Hawk (RHOX) kit uses the same wiring colors as factory. At least mine did. One of the reasons I used that kit over the other ones out there. FYI, RHOX sells the upgrade kit too.

Re: Universal Deluxe Light Upgrade Kits
hunter, I believe you are correct. I added the RHOX colors above as a comparison to the colors used in this universal kit.

Re: Universal Deluxe Light Upgrade Kits
Did you figure the high low beam? I just installed this kit on my rxv and everything works but the high low beam. I noticed when I disconnected the original pull switch for the headlights they didnt work after installing the brake switch. Plugged the pull switch back in and everything worked fine. So I just left it and threw it into the back of the dash. But I cant figure out the high low beam on it

Re: Universal Deluxe Light Upgrade Kits
I did not. Unfortunately I don't think this kit has this function, although it looks like it should. I would love to be proven wrong though if someone else figures it out. I saw no difference continuity wise between the two positions of the switch.
