Default Stealth 4 wheel drive problem

Have 2009 Stealth Patriot. Appears to be based off Club Car. Noticed it appeared to be in 4 wheel drive even though the switch is in 2 wheel drive position. Put it on blocks and confirmed that the switch is working fine. What appears to be happening is while in 2 wheel drive, the faster the wheels spins, it throws itself in 4 wheel drive. I am not sure how the transfer case (front gear box) works but if it is low or dry with fluid, could this be causing this? I plan to add or replace the oils in all three gear boxes since it probably needs that anyway. Any help is appreciated.

Check all systems that involve the engagement of 4 wheel drive.

As an update, I contacted Renegade Distributing who manufactured the 4-wheel drive kit for Stealth. This problem can be caused by two things. 1. Low or incorrect fluid in the differential. This is an easy fix by draining and replacing the fluid with Polaris Synthetic Demand Oil. 2. The thin metal plate inside the differential has worn out. This would require replacing the differential which they have for sale. Will try the oil change first.
