Default Club car won't re-accelerate

1996 club car D's series.

My cart has been switched to be be road legal and is ready to fly. My question is why can't I re-accelerate after coming off full throttle. I have to hit a near complete stop and the cart rides like nothing occurred. Yola just went precor to mcor4 but it was happening before. Help someone. This if first time to post. You guys have everything already here.

What kind of controller do you have and are you hearing a click from the solenoid?

Thanks so much for help. I have my rebuilt controller from DC area. I'm pretty confident it's good. I was told about 400. Haven't been told to listen for click yet so I'll be out this am listening. Thanks again for helping

Asking about the controller as some have a safety to prevent you from starting the cart (cutting the key on) and the pedal depressed. It is a safety feature to prevent the cart from taking off.

When you are running along and let off the pedal, listen to see if you hear the solenoid click (open) and if so, do you hear it close (click again) when you reapply the pedal. Or do you hear it when you are fully stopped and depress it again.

Just trying to get a fell for what you have going on.

Is that am OEM controller or AM?

And this is a Series cart and not a Regen 1? (Regen 1 would have a Fwd/Rev rocker switch and a Series will have an FNR Handle)

Thank you so much for helping. That SOB cart I very nearly burned last night is now doing fine. Like nothing was wrong. Would builder know if I had the safety switch. He does alot of business I think. It's a series cart.
Tx and keep fingers crossed

I could hear solenoid initial click and reclick when I re tap gas. Big scare is exact same thing before mcor4. But runs fine now

You could have a loose connection somewhere. That's what it sounds like.

That is very possible. I have touched almost all the wires. Any ideas where to check?

That is where I was going if you are losing it after letting off and the solenoid opens. Something would be loose or open intermittently. Gremlins are ALWAYS a PITA!!
