Club Car Tempo Will not Move Forward or Reverse After Sparks from rear motor connect
Hello,
I had an issue today while tightening up the top nut of my shocks and my racket hit the connection to the motor and sparked. Cart will now not go forward or reverse. Lights work and the reverse sound comes on when it is supposed to. Any suggestions on what i need to check for to get the cart going again. Fuse? Locations anything would be helpful. Thank You! |

It's no bueno compadre. The controller is damaged if the motor terminals get shorted. No way around it.
Always Put the cart in Tow Mode and disconnect the pack negative before doing any work on the cart. As for the controller, it can probably be rebuilt depending on which controller it is, but it may be cheaper to upgrade to an Alltrax. One good thing about the Alltrax is short circuit and reverse polarity protection. |

I had the exact same thing happen today on my club car. Did it in fact turn out to be the controller. Thanks for any response.

If you shorted the motor posts, yes, 100% chance the controller toasted.
