Help wanted with ~2016 Club Car (Charlottesville, Virginia area)

I compare stuff like this to having your Mom change half the bath water after your brother took a bath so you can get in. I'm an all or nothing kinda person!!

you will still need 6 batteries in 6 months because the 5 crappy ones will make the new one just as crappy....

The problem with changing one battery is the older batteries have a lower capacity due to their age. This means they will “charge” faster then the new one, which will leave the new battery chronically undercharged. Undercharging and storing/using a battery in a discharged state will cause sulfate buildup on the lead plates and will cause a permanent loss of capacity in the new battery in a very short time, even just a few months and that battery will never again be able to reach a full state of charge. That means in 6 months if you replace the other 5 you now have one battery with a much lower overall capacity than the rest, and that one battery will be a roadblock for the next year or two until it fails.
Replacing one now could limp it along for 6 months, or it might only make it two weeks before another one fails. The PD+ batteries get a rough life coming from golf courses and they don’t usually last more than 2-3 years. If we assume those were somewhat taken care of and they’re now actually 5 years old, they are far beyond the normal expected lifespan of those batteries, and the rest of the pack will be severely degraded at this point.
Lots more reasons why it’s just better at this point that if you need to replace a battery to do them all and be done with it. No more battery work for another 5 years or more, which means you get to just enjoy the cart, rather than having it repeatedly quit working halfway through a round of golf or three miles down the trail from your house.
