Club Car Precedent - push the accelerator and nothing happens - sometimes

Hello all!

Relative newby to golf carts. I’ve had this cart about a year.

I’ve tried searching the forum for this problem but can’t seem to find a thread on this exact topic.

2017 model.

Here is the problem I’m experiencing:

I’ll turn the key and put the cart in forward or reverse (problem happens in both directions) and press the accelerator. Nothing happens - sometimes. I’d say about 50% of the time. If I hold the accelerator down, the cart will take off in 3, 5, 10 seconds (not exact times) or sometimes not at all.

Other times, it operates perfectly.

All the batteries are 6 months old and I’ve tested each individually and as a complete set. The batteries are in good shape both at rest and under load. Battery connections are all good also.

I do hear the solenoid click sometimes but not every time I press the accelerator.

I’m hoping someone can steer me in the most likely direction of a solution.

I am far from an expert but you can try the MCOR reset by hitting the 'go' pedal 25 times quickly. I'd start there and see if that helps, if it does then I suspect it needs to be replaced soon.

If the cart works after a while holding the pedal down is probably not the MCOR but the Solenoid that is failing.
