2003 club car precedent surging at full throttle
Have 2003 club car precedent. If I jack the cart up and press accelerator fully it surges at top speed. Seems like current going in and out or something.
Any ideas?? Could that be the controller. Have extra controller off 2015 Precedent, would that work on a 2003? Thanks! Last edited by HighMeadowCarts; 12-29-2020 at 08:54 PM.. Reason: More information |

Does it surge at full throttle with the wheels on the ground? If you keep doing that you are going to destroy your motor.

That is your speed limiter via your speed switch signal back to the controller. It is free-wheeling so it over-speeds and then the controller limits voltage to drop the RPM, then it does it again, etc. etc.
Note- Precedents were not officially released until '04. |
