Default Top speed question

So my 91 CC DS was a 36v resistor coil with the v glide, I did the maximum upgrade, the C64 upgrade with the admiral MOT-A1 motor and SR48600 controller to 48v from Scotty at carts unlimited. My question is with the cart stock at 36v I was getting 15 mph top speed on flat smooth blacktop, after the upgrade
Running 48v Trojan t-890’s I am only barely reaching 22mph on the same test surface that’s only 7 mph. Am I missing something? Do I need to change a setting after the conversion? Here is a screen shot of the controller settings?
Thanks for any help or input.

I think you are right there, this is from Carts Unlimited

Admiral MOT-A1 - higher torque and speed

10 HP Admiral motor 36 or 48 volts
Speeds up to 20 mph with stock 18" tires
Speeds of 22-23 mph on taller tires
Use with 400 and 500 amp controllers

I'm running the AMD Beast motor on my Club Car, with 20" tires I can hit 23mph on flat pavement.

Those speeds are probably sepex carts not series, to get higher speeds from a series cart you'll need to get into a custom motor.

On my old DS I got up to about 30mph on GPS and it was sketchy. That was a long stretch of flat pavement. I had an A1, SR48400, 2AWG cables, HD FNR, etc. I was also running 25” tires though. On 23” it would max out around 25-26. Slower with a windshield and I also did not have a back seat or anything heavy like that. Just a mesh cargo basket. Those speeds, despite being GPS are just guesstimates. I lived waaaaay out in the country and I’d assume they’re close but not 100% accurate since cell reception was anything but stellar...

Windshields kill speed, and anything extra like a back seat and other heavy items would also not help.

That said, my current cart is a 2008 IQ and it’s stock other than a speed magnet and slightly larger tires (but no lift). It will cruise steady 20mph on pavement and I can’t really see wanting anything more.

Both of my carts are sepex, and the Precedent does 27 all day on stock tires with stock controller and an unknown motor. My DS IQ does 21 with 400a controller and stock motor. It previously did 19-20 with stock controller with just a speed magnet. 15 without the magnet.

I agree, our cart will do 27-28mph on flat ground and it seems a bit fast fast, even with 4 wheel brakes.
We usually cruise the neighborhood at 18-20.
We take our dogs for exercise runs around the block and they easily cruise at 22.
The extra power does help climbing hills without losing speed.

I swapped my MOT-A1 for a EMP Custom motor... Does 28-30 .... And I have a switch to limit it to 24-25. My Admiral only hit 23 and bogged a lot up hills.... The EMP barely flinches.
