Default How do I change Front Leaf Spring on lifted '04 Precedent?

Just swapped out the rear leaf springs in my '04 Precedent. It had the single leaf, and since I have the rear seat, and carry alot, I figured that I could benefit from the dual action.

Had to get longer u-bolts from All Sports, but it all came together. Now, I need to change out the front leaf spring, which I also got from All Sports(that's the brand lift I have).

I've searched high and low for some kind of "how to" but am coming up empty. The only video I found, doesn't look like mine. Is this pretty straight forward? Any help before I get started would be greatly appreciated. This has the feeling of something I start doing that looks easy, but doesn't end up that way....

Thank you!

Attached are from 2009 - 2011 Maintenance Manual, but should help.

Thank you sir! What I'm unsure of, is that with my lift, the leaf spring attaches differently. I'm not sure how much of a difference that actually makes in the process.

I'm also replacing the shocks while I'm at it, but that looks a little more straight forward.

Here's a few pics:

I think the center attachment should be the same, I was assuming that was the part you were questioning. The ends look pretty easy to remove, just one nut and the bushings.

Thanks! I thought I read somewhere about if you don't do it carefully, then the spring can really let loose when you undo the nuts at the bushings. Hoping to keep from breaking something or getting hurt. I can accomplish both...at the same time usually.

Lift the cart off the ground and the spring will return to its rest position and have no pressure on it. Remove bolts and re-install.

Thank you!

It's done. It's all level, with new rear leaf springs, new front leaf, and new shocks. Unknown to me, both front leaf springs were actually cracked. It's a miracle no one got hurt on it. Rides like a different cart.

That said.... That was really a lot harder than I thought it would be. I know why there's no info on it, it's because most people with no experience are smart enough to pay someone to do it.

I could definitely to it faster the next time. But there will likely not ever be a next time. Man, that was a beating.
