I would like to get a 2014 EZ GO RXV programmed by Bob. I am in the Augusta, GA / SC area. If Bob is available within 2 hours drive of there. Or is it possible to send controller back and forth by mail?
Thank you.
Dave

Thanks Bob for braving the torrential rainfall and lightning to update my controller. My son is thrilled to be able to hit 20 MPH now.

Thank you for everyone involved! It was a very tiring experience for sure, but I enjoyed meeting each and every one of you. Now that I have rested...

During these trips, I learn that there are individuals out there that are telling fibs to cart owners. Cart owners tell me of individuals that are saying that I trained them in how to do what I do. While I do work with a very few individuals in the industry, I do not train anyone in the trade secrets involved in controller manufacture/OS management! To do so would violate the trust that the industry has in me!

A Curtis handheld is not a substitute for a programmer. It is a tool for adjusting or tuning parameters. after a real programmer replaced the original programming in a controller with a replacement OS/VCL package.

A word of advice for those members that are seeking answers to solutions...

If anyone out there tells you that I trained them in how to program controllers? Run away, fast! What I do is based upon years of experience and knowledge that is considered trade secrets in the industry. It would violate the trust that the industry has in me for me to do this. For someone to tell people that I trained them in order to gain "street cred", is not only a lie, but it damages my reputation with the manufacturers that I have professional working relationships with!

Reprogramming controllers requires a LOT more than just going in there with a Curtis handheld or a 1314 programming station, and changing a value or two in the parameters! I am coming across more and more controllers that have been fiddled with by amatuers posing as experts, and have had to return most of them back to factory stock condition before I can do anything with them. Once they are damaged due to faulty tweaking, they cannot be fixed with a reflash back to stock!

When even a single parameter is tweaked outside of its acceptable range, a myriad of other changes must be made in order to fully support that one tweak. This can result in a multitude of changes to the programming being required in order to prevent damage to the controller. I have a collection of controllers that were damaged by amatuer parameter tweakers posing as experts. Those doing this know who you are, and I also know who you are. Your victims are coming to me for help...

2014 EZGO RXV. 205/40-14 tires. so 20.5" tall. Cart is not lifted. Drive on flat surfaces, not hills, and mostly pavement. Looking to get the cart as fast as I can within reason budget wise. Is there anything that I should upgrade prior to Bob? Bigger battery cables? Anything else need to be upgraded to more heavy duty parts?
