Tighten the axle nut to 70ft.lbs / 95Nm !

No extra washer needed ( you may won't get the cotter pin in )

Good luck!

Also, ojo gives good advice. Castle nut torque is very important. Stripped hubs due to improperly torqued castle nuts is common on EZGOs especially TXT models.

If any noise at all replace the bearings also. My grandson caught it on my cart. His 9 year old ears heard them long before there would have been a problem.

Not sure what you meant by the bearings (I always thought that bearings are the free wheeling thingies with balls), but I am planning to have the passenger side rear axle shaft and the rear axle hub assembly replaced as the old ones are really worn out.

The sealed bearing will have to be pressed on to the new axle shaft. The old one will come out with the old shaft, and I feel confidant that whoever does the job will install a new bearing on that new shaft.

Will get/install a new bearing to the shaft so that'll make it 3 new components (bearing, axle hub and axle shaft).

Thank you for the suggestion.

Update:

Golf cart is running again after replacing the seal, rear passenger axle shaft, and axle hub. Re-used cotter pin, snap ring and castle nut.

Thank you for all those who helped make this happen!!!!

Would have not done it without the help of this forum. It saved me a ton as well.
