Charging voltages sound OK?
My 2015 Club Car Precedent has six 8-volt batteries in series = 48V. My E.R.I.C. charger shows a charging voltage as high as 60 volts near the end of a charge cycle. The next morning the battery voltage is around 51.5 volts. Does this sound like the proper charging cycle? Is it charging at too high a voltage?
Batteries are POWERTRON P8000 batteries. Any thoughts on those batteries? |

Re: Charging voltages sound OK?
Sounds right at where it should be I’ve seen mine go as high as around 62v.
Let the charger do is thing. Once it’s done and shuts off, disconnect it and wait 12 hours. Then take a voltage reading. you should be around 51v or better for a healthy pack. The powertrons are a good budget battery. I believe they are made by Trojan, but don’t quote me on that. |
