Default EZGO PDS (ST Express) won’t go in reverse

Hey guys hoping you can help!

My 2007 EXGO ST Express (PDS) won’t go in reverse (no beeping sound either) here is everything we’ve done.

Originally the lights wouldn’t come on intermittently.

When testing we believe something shorted out. We replaced the ignition switch (3 turn off/on/on with lights.) changed out ignition switch and now it will power on lights work and goes forward. Changed out the reverse/forward rocker- no luck… changed out solenoid and tried flip flopping the wires on rocker switch as well. We also tried bypassing the voltage meter as that seems to have stopped working as well after trying to fix lights. Everything else works now except reverse and no beeping sound and the voltage meter on dash.

Did we blow the controller or is there something else we are missing?

Thank you!
Chip

There should be a green wire and an orange wire leaving the F/R rocker switch going to the J1 connector on the controller. In one position you should have power on the green. When switched you should have power on the orange. If you can probe these wires and find that you have those voltages, then go to J1 at the controller and see if that signal is being passed to the controller on J1 pin2 and J1 pin3.

Thank you! I probably should have clarified it is 48v do you happen to have a diagram for that?

Thanks!

Basically same thing, different pin placement at controller.
