Reverse works wont go Forward

I have no idea whatsoever. The whole thing puzzles the krap out of me, but if it's working in forward and reverse cross your fingers and go for it ! Still don't understand why that couldn't be accomplished at the switch. Different ends of the same cables. A mystery.

I just took it for a test drive and it does go slow in reverse and faster in forward so no issues there. I'm still baffled as to why I had to switch the cables at the FR switch and the motor for it to work correctly. Could it be a cable going bad? IDK just trying to think outside the box.

I wouldn't think so. Using the same cables either way. I have no explanation. Doesn't make sense.

scottyb thank you for the diagram. i forgot to take a picture of the lever before I took it off the FR switch and when I went to put it back on I wasn't sure if it was right. Your diagram helped me for sure!!
