Default EZGO 2017 RXV 48V AC Torque Upgrade/Brakes

I would have thought it would be easy to find something on this but no luck after much searching. It is a 4x12v setup.

So I have a somewhat steep section on a gravel road I come up and the stock motor/controller won't make it with 4 people on it. I am guessing it is a stock Curtis Controller so 250A? Would reprogramming the controller help?

And it the gets pretty terrifying when it stalls then the brakes let go and it rolls back down the hill! It is set to freedom mode and I am plenty happy with the top speed of it, just looking to boost torque.

Yes someone with a Curtis Programmlng Station can turn the torque up for you. What size of tires are on the cart?

Turning up the torque should help but I don’t know if it will totally eliminate your problem. Sounds like you have a very steep hill.

Try to find a set of differential gears from a Jacobsen Eclipse 322 lawn mower. They’re 19.63/1 instead of the 16.99/1 stock gears. That’ll counteract the loss of torque from those 20” tall tires.
Put in a Navitas 600 amp controller, a heavy duty solenoid and heavier gauge battery cables.
And get lighter friends.
