Default Letrika AMT7120 motor for EZGO RXV

Anyone have one they are not using? My motor makes an awful noise when moving. Sounds like fingernails on a chalkboard.

As i've read on here, the induction motor probably last forever... not many parts in it that can cause such a noise?

What if this was a beach cart and the motor got submerged?

With the electric brake off the motor, when I roll the cart it had a slight grinding noise which picks up in volume the faster the cart goes.

Are you sure it's coming from the motor, not from transaxle? Probably motor bearing?

I’m not sure of anything at this point. But will put the rear up in the air and listen once I get it moving better.

Sound lessens once cart reaches speed. But getting up to speed and coming to a stop, its the loudest.

I could be wrong. It has a Mexico Beach permit on the rear bumper under the back seat.

Mexico Beach got hit in 2018.

Looking at the cart I don’t really see any signs of saltwater intrusion around the pedals, controller, springs, or axle. Its actually very clean for a 2013. Just thinking out loud.

Found this motor online but it says it for a 2016 and newer RXV. Other websites say 2008 and newer on RXVs.

Will this not work on a 2013?

Ready to put some miles on this cart.

Cart runs 22mph, so they have done some work on the controller.
