2019 Tempo 48V - Battery light comes on after driving for 10 min
Hi Guys,
I'm having an issue with my dash battery light coming on and staying on. I charge the cart fully, then after driving for ten min the light comes on and stays on. I just bought the cart and was told the batteries load tested at 85%. The batteries are Trojan, made in 2019. I'm hoping/thinking the batteries are fine, is there anything else that would cause the light to come on? The cart fully charges (per the eric charger) in about 2 hours. Thanks, Ray |

you need a volt meter hooked up while your driving to see how far its dropping when the light comes on.... but first make sure all connections and cables are clean and tight....

Re: 2019 Tempo 48V - Battery light comes on after driving for 10 min
At rest, a couple hours after charge pack voltage is 50.9. Under load it dropped to 49.1. I took it out afterwards and same thing again, light on after 10 min or less. Each battery tested at 8.1.
I've had batteries that are 6 years old this doesn't happen with, very confused. This cart is still set to golf course speed so I have a tough time telling if there is power loss. It doesn't seem so. -Ray |

Now less than 2 hours later the ERIC charger is showing fully charged. Could this possibly be caused by the deal4t throwing me a charger that isnt programmed to the brand of batteries in my cart?

Re: 2019 Tempo 48V - Battery light comes on after driving for 10 min
Do these battery readings look correct for 2 year old batteries?
Is there anything that can cause excess draw and run down otherwise good batteries quickly? Thanks, Ray |

If you have a Hydrometer check each cell. I had a cart do that with new Trojan batteries and one battery head a dead cell. Just a thought

Thanks very much, I was thinking/hoping it may be one battery. I will have someone test for me or get my hands on the equipment...
