Default Need decent windshield for my cart

I did a search but too many results with no info.

I need to replace the windshield on my cart again. 2015 CC Precedent.
I need something better than the cheap windshields I've been purchasing. They break at the hinge in a year or two and sag.
Do you guys have any suggestions?

Welcome back south!

I don't know of anything other than the 3/16" lexan ones sold online. A search brings nothing up either. I know they sell replacement hinges for $20 or so including shipping.

I modified the hinge location on my old buggy. You can't really see it in the photo, but there is a 1-1/4" aluminum angle bolted to the struts on center with the hinge. Then I carefully drilled one 3/16" hole through the hinge/windshield right in the center and put an 8-32 stainless steel screw and locking nut through it. Put the drill in reverse when going through the lexan and go real slow.

This one screw has secured the hinge and windshield from sagging. It has been like this for 4 years now. I tow the cart twice a week backed onto my trailer so there is a lot of wind force against the lexan from the rear. I also put a rubber bungee cord across the front to help.

I don't fold the windshield down with this screw in place however. I don't remember the last time I folded it down actually. Maybe 3 years.

Thanks for the info. I trashed the top half of my current windshield sometime back. So the hinge idea, although great, won't work for me. A new windshield is in my future.

Wow...I must be lucky. 2006 Precedent with original windshield. Still clear and hinge intact and flexible. Always fold it down in the summer. It has been garaged all its life.
