main solenoid
Hi all, My friend has a 1993 Club Car and was wondering if a Ford starter solenoid would work for the main solenoid on the firewall. Or does it need to have a solenoid made for Club CAr.?
Thanks for any help you can give. |

Re: main solenoid
It needs to be a continuous duty solenoid. Auto solenoids are not continuous.

Re: main solenoid
And voltage compatible, ie: there are 36 or 48 volt solenoids.

Re: main solenoid
if its a gas cart you need a 12 volt golfcart solenoid......you can put a car solenoid in but it will only last a few weeks.......if its electric then as scotty said its voltage specific either a 36 or 48 volt golfcart solenoid.....................
