Default Oil Splasher/Wiper at base of rod? '86 flathead

Hi all,
Pulled the clutch and bottom end apart on my '86 flathead... good thing because at the base of the rod (where it connects to the crank) there is a small metal bracket looking thing that dips into the oil to splash it around at the bottom of each stroke... it broke off. It traveled around and broke the piston, nicked up the cylinder, rod, etc.
Got new piston, machined the cylinder to match, all good there... but I am not having success finding this little metal part. It doesn't seem like it comes with a new rod...(which I will probably need to get anyway)

What can I do? Where can I find it?

Thanks in advance!
Rob

You may have to go through a Club Car dealer... but you could check with some of BGW's sponsors first!

I did find it last year, and my brother and law and I rebuilt it. I think we got the oil splasher from buggies unlimited. We also put in an oversized piston, new rings, and rod. (The typical .50 oversize kit) that we also ordered from them. It is amazing that the rod is actually a wearing part in the engine... there are no bearings, the rod just wears. Everything else looked decent in there, not bad for about 5 billion hours on it. Amazing little engine though, running strong again in my '86 Carryall 2! Ever since rebuild, the clutch makes a funny knocking sound, when not under a load. Thought it was the engine at first, but it doesn't do it in neutral.

Actually, I think I did get it from LVS sales... yep! It was over a year and a half ago though.

I havent had any luck finding this part until the other day I dont know if any of you guys still need one or not just ordered one for my motor. (Ive been running it with the crankcase overfilled so the crank lobes sling oil.) It is a little pricer than it is listed on most sites but none of them ever have it instock when I try to order it and tell me they dont carry it any more. Here ya go!
