Might consider puting the lower plate on a pivot so you don't rip the bag apart.
If not at least get the plates even when at ride hieght.

the upper and lower plates have to be even when laid out, they are not going to tear. i have these bags on my i-beam mazda with no problems. as far as whats next got to get the rear done this week hopefully, and then start fitting the body

Did you form the tubing or use pre bent parts? That is some big tubing.
