Default G1 needs help again...

I was playing in the snow and I noticed that I don't have the "pep" I used to have... I have to pull the choke to make it hit the "powerband..." It's not just a winter time thing... This has been the case for the past several months! I have a power spring that I purchased from CPP... Would that help at all? I had the carb apart last week and it didnt help a thing. Belt was replaced last fall. Maybe a carb problem or fuel line and filter? Any advice would be great! Thanks!

P.S. Smallblock, if you read this... Thanks ahead of time!!

Dave will know better, but if it runs better with the choke pulled out I bet you need new crank shaft seals.

You guy's need to stop thinking I know it all! Do you have to "choke it" to make it start and run? Does your's have exhaust linkage (linkage would run from the exhaust to the passangerside of the engine then along the engine to the govenor linkage)? Can you take a picture of that? Lord I don't know.

Maybe worn throttle shaft causing an air leak? How about plugged muffler? Time for a BBQ? Lotta possibilities on these old carts.

Its ok Dave! We dont think you know it all... We do know you know it all! I have a tube that runs off of the exhaust. I was thinking it was a vacuum blockage maybe... I only had the bowl off of the carb. didnt mess with any of the jets. GMB, BBQ sounds great!! Need to make this cart last 1 more year!! Wifes orders...
