Default sucking oil

I replaced the Carb on my 97 CC and now when it runs it sucks oil through the hose that runs from the valve cover to the intake on the carb. Any thoughts on why it would do this?
Thanks

A little bit more information since this is my dad, and I talked to him this morning, and know he wont check this post till this afternoon.

Cart is a 97 DS

Cart was running well, then one day after being run, fuel kept flowing into the carb after shutting cart off. To me this sounded like a stuck float, or blocked jet. Carb has now been replaced, and cart starts and runs for a short period of time, but then starts smoking and looses power.
If the small return hose from the valve cover to the intake is removed, the cart runs fine.

I thought it could be the following:
Dirty air filter - says it looks clean
Blockage in the choke button
Intake hose collapsing and restricting flow too much?

As far as I know, oil hasn't been changed, so I don't think it's an overfill problem.

Thanks for the help!

Fuel pump was allowing fuel to leak into the crankcase. This raised the oils level in the case, which caused the oil to blow from the valve cover to the intake.

Fuel pump replaced, and oil changed, and everything seems to be fixed.
