From what I understand have have expeienced the clutch engages at the same point it just is held in the "lower" gearing setup untill your engine revvs a little higher then it shifts to the "higher" gearing. They sell springs for both the driven and the drive clutchs the one I did was for the driven clutch to the drive clutch was engage the same. It made a VAST difference on bottom all the way up to the top end.
