usually when I get a call about tripping GFIs. it has been raining or the sprinkler as hit a bad cover on an exterior outlet. causing the GFI to trip. it is not a overcurrent protection device it trips at 5ma to protect people. just like when your Christmas lights trip outside you are running an extension cord outside to your golf cart it will trip eventually. also a hundred foot extension cord plus the length of the building wiring is probably around two hundred feet one way. I bet if you did a voltage drop calculation for a maximum of 3% voltage drop per Electrical Code you would need 8 gauge wire. I would try to move the cart closer
