Default Buying new cart questions

Our 2003 Pds was stollen from my back yard last week. I went to look at new carts and they had a leftover 2013 express l4. He is selling for price he paid because he has new stuff coming in. What is difference between express and other ez go models. $6800 seems like a good deal. He had wanted $8100

Yes homeowners covered it, but I have a $2000 deductible. I am waiting for insurance to approve the price of the new one.

The higher the deductible, the lower the premiums, both on home-owners and automotive insurance. I carry high deductible, and pocket the savings to self-insure the small stuff.

$6800 can get you a very nice used cart and you'd have plenty of cash left over to do any upgrades you would want. Why buy that new of a cart (2013)?

For example I have this 2002 txt that has been completely frame-off restored with ALL new parts. It is literally a brand new cart BUT rides incredible with long travel suspension and does 27 mph easily due to aftermarket controller and motor. Oh ya it's 72v also with on-board charger. I will probably sell it for $6000-6500. I'm still waiting on the windshield, it's due in today.

Insurance is supposed to be replacement cost of a similar item. If I had them build me the exact same cart it was about $5600 with a few year old cart and batteries. This is brand new with factory warranty. Also buying a used cart from a private seller would be harder to prove price to the insurance company. My cart was a 2003 PDS lifted and trojan batteries were 1 year old. My original question is what is different with an express and a RXV. Is it just the body on it.

I void warranties on a regular basis

Very few members here have brand new carts so getting one to provide your answers may take a while for the right one to see your post.

Can the dealer tell you the difference between these carts? If not have you checked ezgo's website? They have spec sheets on every model online.
