Default AGM Battery Charging Voltage

Hello, just curious if anyone has ever checked their AGM batteries voltage with a DMM during a charge cycle? There's no way to verify that my charger profile is set correctly though my dealer claimed he did it. I have a 60L with 8x6V batteries and my charging voltage ranges from about 52.2 early on to a constant 58.8 during the last bit of charging. Does that seem correct?

It could be based up my trojan LA batteries reaching 65v when charging.

With my Eagle Pro 4818 charger charging my 8x 6volt Crown agms..
The charging voltage reading from ScotteB meter reaches a 58.5 ish volts.
When I perform an equalizing balance charge voltage goes to 58-61 ish
volts briefly and then winds done to 56-57 volts charging..

Unfortunately after seeing the initial voltage rise and then lower...I haven't checked during the equalization charge cycle to check if the voltage was cycling up or down...wish I could give you this insight.

At the end of the charging cycle voltage can read 53.1-53.5 ...these readings
taken from ScotteB's meter which reads the battery pack directly....no
obc interfering with the reading here...

Hope this helps shed some light to help you..

BTW my cart is an I40 with 5200 miles 3 years old!!

Best wishes

So this morning I started an equalization balance charge cycle...

From the charge cycle last night before running the equalization charge
cycle, pack voltage read 53.3 as per ScotteB's v meter.

Checked during this cycle voltage ran from just under 60v and then
between 58 to 59.5 ish

Hope this helps

Best wishes

just as an extra bit here..

A friend rented a cart locally, it turned out to be an advantage (another version of
Icon)....this cart had an Eagle Pro on board charger which when charging the cart
ran it up to 61 volts...but I can't say how long this kept up...

The batteries in the cart were Trojan T875s...6 x 8V looked like they had been in
there for a long time...no corrosion showing yet....

The cart had 14,500 plus mile on the odo...and chassis felt very solid for a cart
with an abused life...,

Just thought I might bring some more light on the battery charging aspect

Best wishes
