2007 Cruise Car (Star car) 48v 6 seater
Just picked up a "Cruise Car" but I'm pretty sure it's imported from the same place Star cars were imported from at the time. I'm looking for some information on it. It's a 2007 48v (Eight 6v batteries) tag says 4kw motor but I haven't looked at the motor to confirm. Everything I've read shows these came with Curtis controllers but this has a 500amp Sevcon controller. It's not operational at the moment. The batteries were dead and dated 2016. I've got them on trickle chargers individually to see if I can bring them back enough to function test the cart. At the moment i know i need an instrument cluster if anyone knows where I can source one or of an aftermarket replacement and also what lift kits would fit these. Thanks for any information you can give me! I've tried calling Cruise car but can't get them to answer the phone or call me back.

Re: 2007 Cruise Car (Star car) 48v 6 seater
I borrowed some batteries and put them in to test the cart. All the lights/radio power on and the solenoid clicks but the solenoid resistor gets too hot to touch in just a few seconds so I'm thinking I have I controller or motor issue. Instead of replacing what's bad I'm thinking of ordering a Navitas 600amp kit with 5kw motor instead of fighting 15 year old parts.
